Diagnosis

January 13th my mom, Dotsy, was diagnosed with microcystic adnexal carcinoma. Microcystic adnexal carcinoma (MAC) is a rare, malignant appendage tumor commonly classified as a low-grade sweat gland carcinoma that typically occurs on the head and neck, particularly the central face.

This is not Mom's face. Hers is on the right side of the face.

It shows aggressive local invasion but has little metastatic potential. There have only been 300 cases documented worldwide.
