Personal Accolades: Men's 40+ World Championship 1988, Men's National Double Championship 1981 & 1991, Tournament of Men's Championship 1988, Men's 1st European Open Barcelona Spain 1991, Pan American Games Santa Cruz Bolivia Seniors Division, Trainer United Kingdom Racquetball Belfast Northern Ireland 1992, authored the book Winning Racquetball published by McGraw-Hill in 1993, Liles has also been inducted into the National Racquetball Hall of Fame, the Memphis Sports Hall of Fame & the UM College of Education Top 10 most influential graduates 1912-2012
Liles was winningness coach at UM with 17 National Men's and 12 National Women's Championships 1975-2003! USRA Collegiate Coach of the Year, USOC Development Coach of the Year, Head Coach US Racquetball Olympic Team, , US Coach for the Pan American Games/ Santa Cruz Bolivia serving 25 years on the USRA Collegiate Council. Assist. coach of the USRA National Team & US Olympic Festival Team,
Upon retirement the USRA named the national championship trophy the Larry Liles Championship Trophy! Director National Youth Sports Program for inner-city kids in Memphis, TN 2000-2004 after serving as Activities Director 1975-2000.
This TSHOF trophy for induction was Like a "Claret Jug" for the coach and team!
