THE LORD OUR EVER PRESENT SHEPHERD!

Our ever Present Shepherd = ALWAYS WITH!
For Thou art with me.....

That's FAITHFULNESS!

We are never alone spiritually even if we are alone physically.
Think constancy. Faithful and dependable.
Walking by faith not sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7)

Our Shepherd is faithful even when it hurts. During life's unstable seasons, God's faithfulness is consistent and steadfast.
An ever present One! WITH ME!

ACCEPTANCE IS KEY!

O Lord, there’s something magnificent about accepting things we cannot change—no giving up or giving in, but experiencing the deep peace in our brokenness!

Acceptance is key!

Lord, I know it won’t always hurt like this, but it does now.

Today I'm leaning once again toward choosing numbness over feeling. Feeling is too painful, Down right scary!

’God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.’ So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up…” (1Pet. 5:5-6)

Let the ink of the gospel get into your bloodstream. (my prayer notes, without citation) Gospel wrapped friendship. Friendship on the same side of the struggle. Focus. Refocus. Share. Focus on His great faithfulness!

The only great in my life is my need. How about yours?

CONSIDER FAITH

Considering faith gives you hope and confidence in hard times. (even in 18 days of sickness)

Considering starts with perceiving in the mind and after some pondering, it enables one to perceive clearly and move toward understanding. Quite a process for this finite mind.
So....How thoughtful of the Lord to provide it in BIG bold print.

Consider faith and then choose faithfulness.

It's head to heart action---then the feet take over.
Know it. Do it.

Because of His faithfulness, I can do it.

I have chosen the way of faithfulness, I have set my heart on your laws. (Psalm 119:30)

CHOOSE: 5 FOR 5th FRIDAY

Random jottings that jumped off the page and hit me right between the eyes.
  1. We worship our work; work at our play and play at our worship.
  2. Forgiveness is a commitment to live with the consequences of another person's sin. (Neil Anderson)
  3. Everyone on earth is either a missionary or a mission field.
  4. Satan doesn't make you do anything, he just fluffs the pillows.
  5. A little thing is a little thing...but faithfulness in a little thing is a BIG thing. (Hudson Taylor)
Choosing to think on these 5 jottings from the margins of my "old" Bible as I sit under tent canopy at Deep Creek while the rain pours down & I wait for the New Yorkers to arrive with Lucy. The younger ones are tubing  the creek in the rain saying it makes the creek run faster.

CHOOSE: TO WALK FAITHFULLY

Henry Blackaby says, "To walk faithfully with God will always bring a person to experience God's laying His heart over his." (hers)

Not my way, but His way, as my Jehovah-Jirah provides the path way through dashed hopes.
A FAITHWALK!

For we walk by faith not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7)
Whether in tennis shoes or heels-----thank you, Lord for continung to guide my walk when my eyes are blinded with tears.
