WEDNESDAY WORD!

Wednesday is often a betwixt day on the calendar for me. Friend Renee's morning text referred to it as "Hump Day" which for those still employed  gives hope that the work week is getting closer to the end.
Today's Word A Day,  a gift from "my Molly" was convicting to me.

Too often, according to her, I say,"I am no longer who I once was!" Instead of enjoying my moments, I keep thinking of all I can no longer do. Think betwixt and between young and old or well and infirmed. Think two different states of being or realities.

Hoping to focus more on my God-given moments today, I opened my Bible.
Stop dwelling on past events and brooding on over times and brooding over times gone by; (Isaiah 43:18, (CJB)
His word has me no longer betwixt but basking in today's God-given moments but to look for new things springing up from His hand.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.( Psalm 32:8)
Think embracing the spiritual anchors God has planned for me as a way to help others.

PLAN G!

What is PLAN G

THE answer---according to MUFHH marginalia....

I'm going with God's Plan G today!*
Won't you join me!?

*Tomorrow 2/17/2026, "my" Plan G is Hubby's reverse shoulder replacement surgery and all prayers are appreciated for God's glory and Hubby's good throughout the lengthy process for recovery!

GOD'S DIRECTIONS!

How does one follow God's will.....for His purpose and His glory!
Directions are needed. Directions are found in His word! Trust is key. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Sometimes I desire specifics.

Sometimes God clearly leads.....follow the narrow path and turn toward the cross!
Clarity of direction is needed, O Lord!

HEART CHOICES!

Why can some decisions seem so difficult?
I love Scotty Smith's * illustration of ease in decision making as he stands at the cereal and chooses the one that is "buy one, get one free."
I prefer those "easy" choices, because I know the outcome of those decisions. Cereal Decision = Money Saved! A lure for a frugal lady!
Other decisions require a spiritual compass for me and still give me "heart knots." (a Scotty term) Yet, knowing God leads in many ways---through his word, prayers and the counsel of others.....discerning His will, as one decides, can still be difficult.

One thing I do know is our heart choices must honor Jesus first.

*More food for thought from Scotty Smith--
In our time-framed decisions, what will honor you the most, Jesus? What choice is most in keeping with the truth and rhythms of the Gospel? Are we running from something for which you haven’t given us running shoes yet? Are we seeking, seeing proverbial “greener pastures” that, like all pastures, turn brown in time? May your peace rule in our hearts, as we discern and decide.

JOURNEY OF LIFE!

FRIDAY. MAY 10, 2024---momentous day for our oldest grand & soon to come, a kindergarten “participation” diploma for our youngest grandson!

Whether shaking hands and whooping or smiling in delight, may both choose joy in the next steps of their journey as both continue in academics!

RABBIT HOLES!

I live in "rabbit holes"............or at least, I'm a frequent visitor.
Positive or negative experiences---both are distractions for me. The last  week, matters seem to have gotten worse after a great relaxing 4 days with family.
Focus seemed "ungraspable."
DISTRACTION in all caps!

CONFUSION clatters.
THOUGHTS scatter.
May these distractions from the world not keep me from hearing the voice of God!

I need soul shepherding. God's word says He will "counsel me with His loving eye on me." (Psalm 32:8) Maybe this time, I need to spend less time seeking additional clarity and lean in and trust Him on what I already know.
He is my God. He will always be with me. He loves me even when I am distractible.

Today, may I take one faith step at a time and watch out for rabbit holes of distraction.

CHOOSE: THE WAY

Biblically, "the Way" was the Acts 9:2 description of a group of people. Believers of Jesus Christ.
Psalm 32:8 shows the "way" as a direction. "I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go....."

The gospel of John describes "The Way" as a person. "Jesus said to him, I am the Way, and the Truth and the Life...." (John 14:6, w/ my capitalization emphasis)

For me, all of the above are the right way to choose.
