ABIDE!

ABIDE! Love that word!

In fact, I love all of John 15.

It was a significant chapter for me in beginning to seek God's Word for truth.

As always, Scottie Smith gives me new insight!

Keep stunning and saturating us with your truth O Lord as we  seek Thee. 

You're easy to find when your addresses is our heart!

May I continue to think on these things. (Philippians 4:8)

You ask me How I know He lives, He lives within my  heart!

LOVE: SATURDAY-SHORT

"Actions speak louder than words!"

 5 words yes, but NOT the Saturday-Short I had in mind. 

LOVE IS THE BIRTHMARK OF JESUS!

Those born again love God and neighbor and serve others well...to His glory.

HOPE TOO!

Hope in Him is our anchor in the storms of life!

When one gets caught up in the storms of life, people mean well reminding us rain nourishes and water cleanses. All those platitudes that are meant to help one focus on the blessings to come, can have a negative effect. 

Often the most help, apart from God's word, can be a listening ear from one who has been on the same side of the struggle and reminds us of the true anchor of our souls in the floods of life.

When you go through deep waters,

I will be with you.

Isaiah 43:2

He only is our  hope. 

I will be with you. (5 words with the MOST comfort)

HOPE EMBRACED!

Hold On to Hope!

Hope Embraced Keeps On Keeping On.

My artist friend, Heidi Walter, does just that!

She holds fast the confession of her hope without wavering, knowing the One who promised is faithful. (Hebrews 10:23) She holds on to a faithful, unwavering embrace of hope.

Seeking?

Ask yourself this question.

What am I seeking after? Truly seeking!?

1)One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after:that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in his temple.(Psalm 27:4)

2)You have said, "Seek My face." My heart says to you,"Your face LORD, do I seek."  (Psalm 27:8)

3)But seek first HIs kingdom and His righteousness. and all these things will be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33)

Be still and listen to what the LORD is saying to you as you read the above verses aloud. 1, 2, or all 3!

SABBATH SAYINGS!

Saying for a serene Sabbath!

So grateful that no word of God will ever fail. (Luke 1:37)

But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:57)

WEEK-END -WARRIOR!

My Saturday Saint shared these verses she had prayed for me this morning. She knew I was preparing to lead a session on Praying the Names of God by Tony Evans. She also knew my hesitancy & inadequacy in spite of sensing God's calling to this event. 

Exodus 4:11.....Who has made man's mouth?....Is it no I, the Lord? 

Now, therefore......aka.... 

.....(Exodus 4:12)

God did exceedingly above all I could ask or imagine. (Ephesians 3:20)

 

Colorful Day went from black and white to bright colors! 

To Him be the glory (Ephesians 3:21)....and a BIG thanks to my Weekend-Warrior!

HOPE CONTINUES #3!!!

My hope is built on nothing else!

Better said as"no-one else"---Jesus, who hears my prayers.

Hope for the believer is not wishful thinking but confident expectation.

How? 

When a pass-along gift arrives at the garage door from a friend who is, in many ways, on the same side of the struggle as, fellowship reigns. 

She knows, "hope" is My One Word 2024.

She has a book. She shares "Said book."

 HOPE AGAIN, WHEN LIFE HURTS AND DREAMS FADE (p.23)

Rejoice as the Man of Sorrows is acquainted with your grief. (Isaiah 53:3)

PROXIMI-TEA!

My morning cuppa! Proximi-TEA! 

First, I had to throw my cuppa anxiety-TEA down the drain.

Then, I picked up God's Word to move-in closer.......and

On the small table beside my prayer chair, was a calling card from one of our church elders of Care Ministries. He has been in a whirlwind of health problems for many weeks now. Yet here was his card encouraging me---with this verse clearly at my side.

For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. (Zephaniah 3:17)

Closer proximity to Him is essential, especially in the "whirlwind" of physical 

unknowns/fears of self and others. 

A cuppa with the Lord in His word and a cuppa proximi-TEA shared with a friend can wash away the fears and dreads of the unknown.
