Message received yesterday from Sarah Young's family
It's like sadness to gladness and back again.

Here's part of my response---because when I don't know how to express deep emotions, I turn to God's Word.
John 7:38, my paraphrase
I am sure all the family would appreciate prayers for strength and comfort during this time....her husband, daughter and son and their spouses, and her 6 grandchildren.

Sarah Young, whose life was served a cuppa fragili-TEA and frail-TEA, sweetened it with a heaping spoonful of faith and trust in Jesus and poured it out to others as a cuppa mo-TEA-vation to re-vi-TEA-lize their faith in Jesus.

To God be the glory!

"Sovereign-TEA"

The Lord has established His throne in the heavens, And His sovereignty rules over all. (Psalm 103:19, NASB)
And what are the heavens but the creation of God's hand, illustrating God's sovereign majesty over our lives. From Psalms to Isaiah, readings have continued to remind me of God's sovereignty, especially in creation. (Isa. 40:12-28)
Our creator has supreme power and dominion over us and all our circumstances. In Jesus Lives, Sarah Young writes, as if the Lord Himself were speaking, "I am sovereign over the circumstances of your life, so there are always opportunities to be found in them. ...."
So many much of scripture tell us of God's sovereignty. So....why don't we live this truth----instead of trying to "control" life's circumstances on our own???
Calligrapher & photographer---my precious son-in-law, Corey---
who reminded me of this important "TEA" word!
Our God reigns. Our God rules.
God is in charge. Not me.

How comforting that is this morning as I sip my cuppa sweetened with the knowledge of His sovereign-TEA!

Sarah Young, author of Jesus Calling

5/14/09 Prayer Request as I'm headin’ to Kentucky to see Daddy and my brother and his family. I will be off line ‘til Sunday. I do have a prayer request for all the prayer warriors out there, especially all those who are reading the Jesus Calling devotional book---and I know that’s a lot of you.

Sarah Young, who authored “our” book, is in Nashville this summer.
She is obviously on a furlough from the  mission field. I don’t know if she is there because of family or just because it’s the best place for her as she is seeking help for some serious medical concerns. The e-mail I received from a friend did not list particulars but I am sure that Sarah would covet our prayers.

That little book has had such a positive impact on my cancer journey. God has greatly used her words (given by Him) to bless me right where I am each day.

She has walked the walk prayerfully and it shows in her writing. Themes of thankfulness and trust are prevalent throughout the entries. She has inspired me in my dance---one of abunDANCE because of depenDANCE on Him. (dependence my creative spelling emphasis ) Even today she reminded me that I can relax in His Presence and trust in His strength. How about you? Do you need that reminder today? Maybe Sarah does as well. Let’s pray to that end for her.
