FROM MANY TO ONE

Many hands....from toddlers to nonagenarians. (ages 90-99)
....to One work of art, created by tiny fingers to wrinkled, dare I say gnarled ones, pasting scraps of colored paper, some with Scripture verses on a drawing sent from a Japanese artist.
All the nations you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord, and shall glorify your name. (Psalm 86:9)

From many First Evan participants of a collaborative art project to reach one nation with the gospel message.

CONSIDER SHARING GOOD NEWS

Allen Bible Church in Texas encourages it's members to consider taking the "good news" of God's  love and ultimate sacrifice for all of us, to their neighbors, to the nations and to the next generation.
A goal I consider as very worthy.
Psalm 107, a psalm of praise, also shares the "good news" well---no matter what our struggles or our distresses are, the Lord is good and meets us right where we are. Even in our rebellion, weaknesses, depression or other afflictions, He is there. He hears us when we cry out.......and out of His love, He delivers us.
It is a long psalm with 43 verses. It's a psalm for both the hurting and the "wise" among us.

The last verse sums it up well.
Whoever is wise let him attend to these things; let them consider the steadfast love of the Lord. (107:43)
A worthy read!
A read which might have you considering sharing the "good news" of what God has done in your life.

Choose Good News

"Choose Good News"---Obviously that choice negates turning on the TV for nightly news.
Actually the title would read better if it said "Choose Spreading the Good News."

I was spreading caramel on cupcakes to take to an ailing friend when I saw the Acts 4:12 citation under the ingredients. Of course, I looked it up.
Salvation is to be found through Him alone; in all the world there is no one else whom God has given who can save us. (GNT, Good News Translation)
Hooray, for the Batesville, Mississippi Caramel Factory for spreading the message of salvation, the good news of the gospel, while others are spreading caramel.

MONDAY MORSEL

5/6/13 Gospel truth. Is that just an idiom that flies around small towns in Kentucky? I certainly heard it a lot during my growing-up years. Kids said it to parents to give credence to their denials or excuses. Students would even say it to their teachers if trying to give validation to their statement.
Gospel truth. Figuratively, it's an unquestionably true statement.
There's also the truth of the good news of the gospel. (Romans 4:25)

Alistair Begg quote in 5/5/13 First Evan Bulletin said it very succinctly:
Here's the gospel in a phrase: Christ died in my place. That's the gospel.

Simple enough.
That, readers, is the gospel truth of the gospel message. Undeniable.
A morsel for your Monday meditation.
