Berry bushes with bumblebees, which buzzed loudly as I closed in & then I bolted!

Birding Buddies

Even eating is an adventure at the beach---tho only room for a few pix.
Breakfast begins the day---with buns from the best bakery, La Loba.

or blueberry baby (Dutch Baby) in a black iron skillet at "The Perfect Pig," and on to...

....Bait shop, ala Stinky's, for shrimp po-boys on homemade bread at lunch and on to...

...dinners (without pix) at our best bargains yet & ole faves ---George's at Alyce Beach, where they will "split" seafood combo for us and Cafe Thirty-A with BOGO between 5pm & 6pm.
BULLETIN! BULLETIN! After a little over a year, Seagrove Market Cafeis re-opening in 2 days 11/19/16) to continue serving "deep fried love." (just 2 doors north of original address on Hwy 395)
....and a breezy balcony dinner at sunset with my "Baby Honey" of 47 years at Bud and Alley's at

Seaside on 30A with the rest of the Wright/Ritenour wedding bunch!

???Wedding Questions???

The answer to ALL their questions …..“I do” or “I will”.

Is there anything sweeter than couples standing at the altar declaring their love and lifelong commitment? 
From....

the flowers...

to the awaiting groom...

the smiling bride....

the attentive nephews...

the solemn vows.....

the mother of the bride

the luscious cake

the dance....

the kiss.....

the toasts.......

the laughs.....

....and the keepsakes,

Wesley and Michael had it all!!!

Two are better than one,
 because they have a good return for their labor:

If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up.

Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
 But how can one keep warm alone? 

Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12)

How blessed this young couple is to have Christ as the center strand of their cord.

DESTINATION: WEDDING

6/2/10 Will be off-line for the next few days because we’re going to celebrate Elizabeth and Michael’s wedding in Florida. I love everything about family weddings---the newness of love, the family ties, the flowers, the music, (it always makes me cry) the “charge” from the preacher (esp. when he is my son) the excitement and hope for the future of the bride and groom and of course, the cake!! I do love wedding cake. And though I love chocolate, it’s not the groom’s cake I gravitate toward---it’s the white on white bride’s cake with lots of icing.

So grateful that Elizabeth and Michael have chosen to put the Lord at the center of their marriage. He is that all important strand in the cord of their relationship.

I had wanted to entitle this blog “bi-polar bed fellows” or “marriage of miracles” but thought that might sound insulting to our union so I’m embedding it in the text. What I’m really trying to say is that like most of you in a marriage situation already know “taint” always easy, it takes commitment and opposites do in fact attract---but God………………..

So here’s a look at us. Hmm….food seems to be a focus here! I guess we have that in common. We’re “foodies”----though not the refined, snobby kind. We just like to eat.

So what’s the secret of polar opposites staying together for 40 years? Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 (NASB) gives a clue. Read verse 12b carefully.

If Larry and I keep the Lord in the center of our “marriage cord” then we should not be easily separated. So…..here’s to many more anniversaries with the one I love. I would say 40 more but that would probably mean a heavenly event since we would be over 100 years old----now that would be a celebration!
