SENSORY GIFTS!

Vivid Imagery that evokes our 5 senses.....can often evoke all five & then wrap it with emotions, which one can even feel without touching!
That's what arrived at our door this past weekend! A timely gift as it will welcome others to our house for Thanksgiving!
An aromatic bouquet that touched my heart.
Beauty can be seen immediately along with reflections in the ornament. The earthy wiff/smell of the fresh evergreen is a close-up woodsy aroma. The velvety feel of the bright red bow invites fingers to stroke/touch it. When the door opens one hears the sound of ornaments "ringing" a welcome! Of the 5 senses, only taste is left. But this wreath has that covered as well with the nutcracker standing guard to remind us of taste of fresh nuts to be cracked waiting inside!

This sensory generous gift from our friends in the faith, Beth and Bill, has warmed our hearts and coaxed warm memories of so many Christmas Eves in the past!
Thanks you! Thank you!! Thank you!!! (1Thessalonians 1:2)

MISTY MOUNTAIN MEANDERING!

In everything give thanks. (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

When life's struggles overwhelm......give thanks!

When high temps prevent walking......give thanks.

In all medical circumstances that disappoint.....give thanks.

This morning, lower temps allowed an early morning walk----a first walk in July! More of a meandering! Thanks flooded my mind!

Handicap parking was available. No walkers blocking views. Sounds of rushing waters from last night's rain. His peace had cocooned my mind and heart.

Then, things changed----busloads  of  WCU cross country runners appeared for their 4 mile run......along with their photographer from Furman.
But God made it easy give thanks as all in their youthful strength and attitude, smiled and said hello as they passed us by....both coming and going!

Why give thanks? The answer is straight from God's Word.
It is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

SATURDAY SCHEDULE!

Wherever I am Saturday always starts with prayer time. When in Texas much activity starts soon after. The family who prays together. Also family who plays together seems to have lots of fun together. (1John 4:12)
7 on 7  lower right grandson #0 is ready
Pic to follow of basketball  where grandson scored with back to the goal
3pm basketball scrimmage had "Coach Buddy" joining son #14 on court.
Also family who eats together always has tasty anecdotes to share and votes to take.
Hands down.....Plano's Fish Shack hushpuppies are the BEST!
Gelato at Paciugo at the Village in Allen Texas is Yummy.....regardless of flavor.
Not sure which flavor....Tastes are free!
Regardless of the schedule, I give thanks. (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
