abun-DANCE!

abun-DANCE is the "dance" of celebrating life right now! It's dancing to the music of life. Yesterday it was "dancing" with hubby in the booth at Peter's Pancakes in Cherokee NC because that's what we do, wherever we are, when "Ain't to Proud to Beg" by the Temptations plays. And to think I almost said "No" to going because I felt too frumpy to leave the house.

It's special to have traditions that become special memories as you age....especially when extended family understands as well. As Candy Paul says, "It's saying "No" to fear and "YES" to LIFE!

Scripture reminds us, God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7) Even when our mind seems to be a bit wishy-washy at times, God can provide the ability to discern His will for each day & every moment. Music for our soul....enough to have our toes tapping in step with Him.
That's abunDANCE!

JOY! JOY!! JOY!!!

A joyful face says it all!

A big thanks to Pace McKee for sharing Ron Man's quote from the recent council retreat.

IF YOU HAVE JOY IN YOUR HEART, NOTIFY YOUR FACE!

joy......Joy......JOY!

Struggling lately. Depressed spirit. Enveloped by a pall of sadness and grief.
Lethargy looms.

Knowing joy is a choice.......guilt ensued.

Joy is a by-product of an attitude of gratitude.
I had taken off my dance shoes.

The Bible is a book of joy! (Deuteronomy 16:15)
Exercise needed. More time in His Word. (Psalm 94:19) D.

Acceptance. Keep on keeping on. (Philippians 4:4) A.

Fulness of Joy RX. (Psalm 16:11, I Thessalonians 5:16-18)
Don't lose hope. (Romans 12:12) N.
Consolations from friends. (Psalm 94:19) Thanks, Dixie! C.

I need to find my D.A.N.C.E. shoes. E
Exercise joy.....Joy.....until it gets to JOY!----
my basic "barre exercise" for abunDANCE.

CONSIDER THE HANDIWORK OF GOD!

The heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament shows His handiwork. ((Psalm 19:1)
What great glimpses we've had of the work of His hands as we have traveled the eastern coast of Florida!
From banyan trees and palm trees .....
to bald eagles perching & soaring at May Port......
.............to a sand crane family on the golf course....
and the deep rich blues of the Atlantic Ocean,
God's creative hand has done a great work!

Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord, (Psalm 150.6) let all rejoice
as they consider the handiwork of God.

CHOOSE: TO CELEBRATE GOD'S GOODNESS

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
With a joyous houseful and beyond, I'm celebrating God's goodness, not just reading about it! (Philippians 4:4)

Will share pix soon, I hope...or maybe not---my heart is so full.

CHOOSE: C.A.L.M.

Stress is rampant in lives of so-o-o-o many folks.
ANXIETY in all caps is often the result! At least at our house. Even good stress can put me on edge.

Anxiety comes in all our lives. But God....says, "Be anxious for nothing..." (Philippians 4:6)
How hard is that!! Does that mean absolutely nothing? Zilch? Or does it mean not taking our anxiety/worry too far or continuing in it? The answer to that question is still on my "pondering" list.
Prior to that verse, Paul reminds us to "Rejoice in the Lord."
Is that the RX needed?

According to Max Lucado, it's a good start for calm. Rejoicing in the Lord is a way of celebrating who He is and can help "jumpstart" calm. (My words, not his)
I only heard part of Lucado's list on K-Love so I added parts of my own.

C--Celebrate the Lord. (Lucado)
A--Ask the lord in prayer (petition) for help (a paraphrase of Lucado)
L--Load that request with lots of thanksgiving (mine)
M--Meditate on other things, Philippians 4:8 gives us the list. (Lucado)

Prayer is needed to replace worry in a Christian's life, at least this Christian's life.
May I "choose to choose" C.A.L.M. to aid my way to worry-free thinking.
Maybe a cuppa traquili-TEA to start my day followed by sereni-TEA at noon and a night cap of believabili-TEA in God's truth---The RX for calm in Philippians 4:6, is prayer. The result  = "...peace of God which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."
