MARRIED BLISS!

When a couple has been married for 57 years, there's definitely advantages!
Often one can finish a sentence for the other.
These days I totally depend on hubby to answer questions that have left my memory bank. But.....we share most of the same memories. This past week I could not remember the name of a radio program we once listened to as we traveled.

Earlier, my Word A Day calendar gave us a jump start on finally coming up with the program's name.
Woebegone, an English word for "affected with woe." Spelled differently but the pronunciation took us to the "location" of the program, Lake Woebegon.

Each weekly show ended with a "fun" quote!
"Where all the women are strong, all the men are good-looking, and all the children are above average".

An unusual shared experience but one we both finally remembered when we had 2 heads working on the same answer.
Prairie Home Companion.

55 "BER-SARRY YEARS" & COUNTING!

"Whom God hath joined together".......

.....let no man put asunder!

A big thanks for the above text from JoLynn to all the texts, cards & calls from family and friends with lots of memories----from the Greystone Inn where they would hang our napkins on the back of our chairs if we left the table, to boat rides and golf carts to the swoosh of desending on ice-cold sliding Rock. Some of the calls included "Ber-sarry" singing which had us smiling and remembering the "old days.

A BIG thanks to all❣️

HEAVENLY EQUATION: 1+1=1

There is nothing quite like a family wedding!
Kinship by blood joined with kinship through the Spirit of Christ.
The simplicity of a service that glorifies and honors the Lord and even includes the sacrament of communion for the couple is a glory to behold.
Note the "cup and the bread" (right) a waiting the couple.
As the Pastor said, "In the heavenly equation," marriage is when 2 people come together in the covenant relationship of 1, as man leaves father and mother and cleaves to his wife. (Genesis 2:24)
And when this stand is gladly taken, "Beneath the Cross of Jesus, " it is even sweeter!
Hooray! Hooray! Mr. and Mrs. Johnson are on their way----from a wedding ceremony which glorified God, to a life of  committed faithfulness in marriage which will do the same.
From a wedding supper table for 2, where little time was given by the hordes of well-wishers...
to a luscious trio of cakes where again "let them eat cake" was for others, with just a single bite for them.
As the celebration continued, a rainbow appeared....another covenant reminder.
To me, that rainbow was a "God wink" for Robbie and Bjorn.
A perfect ending to a perfect day.....
.......and a perfect beginning for a life of 1+1 =2!
