GOD'S DIRECTION!

How does one read the compass of God's direction. Study His Word. Follow His direction. All are answers I've heard from believers. Robert J. Morgan gives ideas in his Jordan River Rules book, which our group has been reading together.
Morgan sees the center of the compass as a deep conviction of God's sovereignty. All agreed knowing that the Lord is in control....not us! Morgan also espouses that the circumfrance of the compass is wholehearted willingness. In the book of Joshua we have been encouraged to meditate on Scripture day and night, standing on the promise that we can be strong and courageous, knowing "the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." (Joshua 1:8-9)
Standing on God's promise of His Presence has sustained us .
For those directionally challenged, a visual is often helpful!

N= Nearness aka his Presence (Morgan, p.53)
S= Scripture leads to divine truth (IBID, 53)
E=Entrusting every detail to the One who knows the path He has uniquely for us
W=Wise plans, a watchful heart & waiting on Him; result=His way to move forward

So grateful for believers together......who desire to follow God's directions to the path of righteousness which is found in Christ alone. (Acts 4:12)

As we seek to move forward in life may we all clearly hear His voice saying, "This is the way; walk in it." (Isaiah 30:21)

CHOOSE: TO TASTE AND SEE

Finding God references in unusual places always delights me.
I found Psalm 118:24 in an Aldi egg carton several years ago. The verse was written out and though I'd used the product for years, I never "saw the truth" until I so needed that encouragement on 4/12/12.
This morning as I was once again icing cupcakes to take to a friend I noticed Acts 4:12 on the "tub" of Caramel Factory caramel. It was if I was truly noticing it for the first time, though http://dotsydetails.blogspot.com/2017/01/choose-good-news.html showed me otherwise----a regular occurrence in the minds of folks in their 7th decade. It allows us to be happy all over again, at least that's what my friend, JoLynn tells me.
I love caramel and their icing is better than Mrs. O used to make for me in her black iron skillet. The factory is in Batesville, MS, home of our good friends, the Ferrell's, so we have ready access even though friend, Diane's, Gift Emporium, a Germantown supplier, is now closed.
All that to say, I love it when companies "advertise" their faith.

Though I in no way want to make light of scripture, one of my favorite verses came to mind, "Thy words were found and I ate them and they became for me the joy and delight of my heart." (Jeremiah 15:16)

I love it when a citation can send me to God's word where I can truly choose to "taste and see the goodness of the Lord! "

Choose Good News

"Choose Good News"---Obviously that choice negates turning on the TV for nightly news.
Actually the title would read better if it said "Choose Spreading the Good News."

I was spreading caramel on cupcakes to take to an ailing friend when I saw the Acts 4:12 citation under the ingredients. Of course, I looked it up.
Salvation is to be found through Him alone; in all the world there is no one else whom God has given who can save us. (GNT, Good News Translation)
Hooray, for the Batesville, Mississippi Caramel Factory for spreading the message of salvation, the good news of the gospel, while others are spreading caramel.
