GRANDADS!

Children's children are a crown to the aged (Proverbs 17:6a)

Grandads can be a big help as one is heading south on fall break.
#1 Prayers are lifted.
When he gave each an envelope of
$ to buy a souvenir, the smiles came forth. A special time for all.

May you live to see your children’s children—(Psalm 128:6a)

Pictures have arrived since their arrival---both on-line and to our Frameo.
JLK's 1st purchase was a "stuffy"---he loves stuffies and he knows his grandad's fave Disney character is Donald Duck! Hmmm!!
Note personal stuffy, Foxy, under J's arm that made the trip!

Grandad believers are blessed as God pours out His Spirit and blessings of future generations on them and that includes grandchildren.
Isaiah 44:3 highlights the abundant grace and blessings that flow to the descendants of those who seek the Lord.

CHOOSE: MEMORABLE MOMENTS

Memorable moments---choose to think on these things.
Prepping to be a Princess is hard work.
BIG BAD Roller Coasters. Harry Potter. Safaris. Character Breakfasts.
Tea Time. T-Cup Rides.Dinners with Princesses. Painted Faces. Cat in the Hat. Dinner in a 50s convertible while watching 50s movies at a drive-in.
How good and pleasant it is when  the brethren dwell together in unity!!!
Bountiful blessings of memories----an easy choice!

 (Will try to tweak later!)

CHOOSE: SADNESS

Sometimes one cannot help but to choose sadness. Sometimes sadness chooses you.
That's what happened with me when the "New Yorkers" had to leave Disney World a day early.

Impending SNOW in New York---a real nor'easter. It even has a name. Winter snow storm "Reggie."

"....a time to weep, a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance" (Ecclesiastes 3:4)

That's life---"unto everything there is a season." (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

All week we have had laughter and dancing and I need to focus on that. Great family memories.
But.....I also don't need to repress the sadness. I didn't.
The tears flowed as last year we only saw them once. Even this time "Mommy" had to stay home and teach. So, I cried for all of that. I don't even know when we'll see them again so I added that to the tears as well.
But God and other family members reminded me the importance of remembering the recent "season" of family celebrations.
What a "privilege" to be with Lucy as she met her favorite Elsa and Anna.......

and had dinner in Cinderella's palace with her 6 male cousins and met lots of other princesses.
That helps me to smile through the sadness, though my heart still aches.

SABBATH SNAPSHOTS: FLORIDA FUN

3/10/13 Magical memories began yesterday in Mount Dora, FL as we had lunch yesterday with the Henize family---great friends and Sam and JoLynn's relatives. The Disney "magic" began today with a character breakfast and a full day in "Hollywood." From Toy Story to Rock "N" Roller Coaster and tower of Terror, all who were willing and able, did it all.

Grandchildren are the crowning glory of the aged; parents are the pride of their children. (Proverbs 17:6) We certainly experienced that as we captured the "magic" of building family memories!

"Delish" alfresco lunch at Henize's home
Fast Passes helped us bypass waiting in long lines. Andrew  has best view--in Daddy's arms.
Owen discovers his "Murphy bed."
Character breakfast had Mickey Mouse-shaped waffles & any thing else you could ever eat!
Phineas & Ferb lined up the cousins and then jockeyed for their own position as the tallest of the line. Andrew was asleep in the stroller
