THE LORD---MY GUIDING SHEPHERD!

He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness. Think right paths!

That's GUIDANCE!

Seek the Lord's Guidance from His Word. Open your Bible.....

.....walk through a labyrinth to meditate on His Word.....

.....look up; focus on a cross.....

...... walk down an aisle to kneel at an altar with both your head and heart bowed!

"God also gives His sheep guidance ib the proper path of life, so that we do not wander aimlessly. He does so in part for the sake of His own reputation, as One who has promised to direct His people." (Thomas Constable)

He, our Shepherd and Spirit of Truth, guides into all Truth, from OT to NT. (Isaiah 30:21 & John 16:13)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!

JULY 4th! To begin such a day with family and to end it with the Temptations performing at our nation's capitol is a GOOD day for this gal.

Part of  the celebration was the singing of Russian immigrant, Irving Berlin's, GOD BLESS AMERICA'---now 100 years old. Berlin wrote it while serving in World War I.
The lyrics would be a worthy prayer for this day for all Americans.
God bless America Land that I love Stand beside her And guide her (emphasis mine)
Through the night with the light from above From the mountains To the prairies To the oceans White with foam
God bless America My home sweet home
Guide us O Lord. (Isaiah 58:11) Guide us into all truth. (John 16:13) Guide our feet into paths of peace. (Luke 1:79) May we be humble before you Lord, that you will guide us in what is right and teach us your way. (Psalm 25:9)
I can't think of a better birthday present for, our country, America, than for this prayer to be fervently prayed by all of God's children.

Encouraging Words

K- Love brightened my day yesterday with an "Encouraging Word."
That's the intent of the radio program's (94.9 FM/Memphis) daily Bible verse.
"Then when you call, the Lord will answer. 'Yes, I am here,' he will quickly reply."
(Isaiah 58:9, NLT)
Those encouraging words encouraged me, allowing me to share with others in prayers.....from Mexico to Binghampton and on to a hospice room in east Memphis.
Paying it forward.
How about praying it forward? .....all the way to the end of the chapter.......to satisfy the afflicted soul, (v.10) to allow the Lord to guide, (v.11) to honor Him (v.13) and once again to delight Thyself in the Lord. (v.14)
That's what encouraging words are meant to do.

Let it flow, let it flow….

9/3/12…..let it flow. My Utmost entry (9/2) reminded me that it’s not what I gain in my relationship with Christ that’s most important. Rather it’s what He pours out (in me) to flow through me that counts. Out of me should flow to others all the fullness of Christ.
In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture* hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (John 7:37-38)
In midst of meditation on these verses, imagine the thousands of lives that could be touched and refreshed by the lives of believers living out this truth and letting it flow.

For additional info on what scripture says about thirst, check out Isaiah 55:1 and Isaiah 58:11.
