PATH OF RIGHTEOUSNESS!

PATHS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS!
Think refreshment and restoration for His glory and our good!

Righteousness is the only path we need as it aligns with His will while bringing hope to our lives and the lives of those we serve and pray for, especially on Wednesday!

A great Walkabout Wednesday of faith on a sunny day in the mountains allowing God to pause our pace and pray as we go!

"LIT UP" FOR GOD'S PATH!

Light for me brings assurance. I like being able to physically see where I am gong.....and even where I have been. Maybe the need for security is why I leave the porch light on so often. Flashlights are in every room.

What's the best way to have true light in our lives? Pick up your Bible. Know God's Word. Truth from Scripture is our lamp!

May His Word be a light for me and all who read this today as we seek the path that He has for each of us!

Such info will probably light up our faces! Think "All Lit up!"

ROAD TO NOWHERE!

The road to nowhere is a road no one needs to be on in his/her spiritual life. How do i know!? The Bible tells me so! It is not just a physical journey but a spiritual one as well! A faith path.
It's a journey with a heavenly destination yet often includes struggles, and hardships along the way which we must embrace with the joyous ones. God's word gives us the wisdom to navigate all of life.
His word gives the "light" needed.
It might be a bit rocky at times....but Christ is the solid rock on which stand.

There is a "road to nowhere" in Bryson City not far from our home.  Somehow I only looked in as I didn't like the darkness even though we had a flashlight. The floor was muddy thus too slippery for a gal with a cane!
One must be cautious to choose the right roads in life!

As Jesus Calling reminds us on this National Day of Prayer, we are on the path of God's choosing. Every moment walking with Him leaves no time for worry as His Spirit directs our steps to walk along the path of peace. (Luke 1:79)

STRUGGLES IN LIFE

Struggles, whether physical or spiritual, can be used by the triune Lord to  teach life lessons. The Holy Spirit can guide other believers to bless and encourage steps toward refreshment and recovery regardless of whether steps are coming or going in a "struggle".

Recovery can take time but regardless of where one is in her pain, it helps to know she's not alone. God's Presence can often be easily seen when in fellowship with others. The reality of a "struggle" journey is easier when one realizes the journey is not taken alone.....but is under the care of Jesus and His followers as the Lord directs his steps. (Proverbs 16:9)

ROAD TO NOWHERE?....ROAD TO SOMEWHERE?

Have you ever wondered where a road would take you?
An unending highway of sorts. A road to nowhere.
Is there such?
According to a road sign in Bryson City, North Carolina there is!*
What about biblically?

There is a road that the wise travel and a road that the unwise travel. There is a road that SEEMS right (Proverbs 14:12) and there is a road that IS right (Proverbs 12:28).
As we stand at crossroads seeking directions for life, often bystanders are luring us to turn toward popularity and self-pleasure. That is a road to nowhere. A life apart from God.

Reconsider.
Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you saying, "This us the way; walk in it." (Isaiah 30:21)

Choose the way of the Lord -- the narrow path. Jesus is there and He is the way that leads to Heaven.

Is there a right path to choose?
Yes! A road to somewhere! Eternal life with the Triune God.

*I saw it as I was having a "walkabout Wednesday" down Everett Street in North Carolina last week.(6/14/23)

Pathways

12/29/10 It's hard to find a clear path in my house especially a pathway to the computer because John Parker sleeps in the computer room. Not to worry, I wouldn't change one aspect of this Christmas visit for anything. However, as soon as this maze does clear I have some THOTS about paths that I'd like to share.
This is what the LORD says:
“Stand at the crossroads and look;
ask for the ancient paths,
ask where the good way is, and walk in it,
and you will find rest for your souls. Jeremiah 6:16
The last part of that verse says, "But you said, ‘We will not walk in it." I do know that would not be a wise response. I also know that my (and probably your) life's journey has lots of twists and turns. I know, too, that without the Lord to guide me on the right path or the good way, I cannot walk in confidence.
It would be more dangerous than trying to find a pathway to my computer as I tiptoe in the dark clearing the path as I go. Stepping on those little lego toys that "bite" and trying not to bump the pack and play---virtually impossible. I can't walk with confidence when I can't see the path. That's why there aren't many blogs this week. But.....as I finish up this post, I hear John Parker praying for God to bless Shug (and lots of others) and thanking God for Jesus who got out of the cave and is alive. I am praying that all my grandboys find the pathway to Christ and walk in that good path all their days.

MAIZE MAZE

10/3/10 Pathways----often run in several directions. How does one choose the right path to take? Do you think it’s easy to follow a path, especially if you have directions and a map? If so, then you’ve not tried to navigate a corn maze with a 3-yr.old.

The cooler temps weather was perfect this weekend for a maize adventure with grandson, Owen. What I hadn’t counted on was how difficult it would be just to keep up with one who thought every adventure included running---though the rules specifically stated, ”No Running!” Being aware of the rules is one thing. Following those rules is another.

It also was easy to get turned around and make the same wrong turn more than once. We were lured by the shiny bridges and climbed over them, which seemed more enticing than going under them, even though the “duller” way was the right way.

Life paths are like that. It’s not always clear which path to take. Sometimes, even knowing the right way, one might choose wrongly because it looks like more fun. Scripture gives so many directions and instructions for taking the path that leads to wise living. The Bible can be a very clear map. Proverbs alone gives much wisdom---God’s guidance for life’s choices. Though not promises, they can help one choose the correct path for wise living.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
Life might not be a maize maze but it is a confusing network of paths, some connecting and some dead ends---we need help navigating them. For some, help comes with a “Shug” (grandmother) to read the clues, help hold your hand as you climb the steep steps, pick you up and brush off the dust when you stumble and give you some cool refreshing water along the way.
