TRUST GRAMMATICALLY!

Today, we go to sign our wills AGAIN! A redo of our wills for at least the 3rd time. We had hoped to set up a "trust" but in this itty bitty town that can't happed.
However, I am more focused on trust as a verb.
A verb that emphasizes faith in action!

Trust God in all times and in all ways. Acknowledge Him daily to guide your paths. Trust leads to straight paths.
Continuous Action = grammatically correct trust.

HIGHER PATH!

The obituary of Cecile T., a dear friend, had me remembering notes, cards, newspaper articles, devotionals, travel books and even her Florida abodes which she shared with me and mine!

She walked with the LORD! A friend in the faith who loved at all times.
She chose the right paths putting the LORD, family (Think 5 children with spouses, 23 grandchildren, 53 great grands with 2 more on the way) and many friends.
Above newspaper clipping shows that on Evangelical Christian School's Grandparents Day in October 1997 she won the award for MOST GRANDCHILDREN attending! Yiayia was often present for most events,

She walked the "higher" path! What an example for all to follow!

ALL PATHS!

A picture can be worth a thousand words---thus this post.
A great "Saturday Short" for one who has been camped in Psalm 25.
I would give credit for this photo but I have no idea where or when I found it. Obviously it was during a warmer time!

PATHS OF LIFE!

Few paths in life are straight. The direction or length of the path can be an age-related choice based on one's physical attributes.
Though beautiful, many paths are even rocky.....both physical and mental.
So............how does one recognize the path or paths that are just right for him/her?
Warning---My paths became so curvy, you will be confused.

Recent bedtime reading, Bathed in Prayer by Jan Karon, I came across an excerpt from her 2005 book Light from Heaven, prayer of the vicar's as he, Father Tim, sat and dog, Barnabas leaned against his shoulder. 'I am Thine, O Lord. Show me Thy ways, teach me Thy paths, lead me in Thy truths and teach me.'
(Psalm 25:4-5a)

My ESV Bible had Psalm 25 listed as Teach Me Your Paths
OF DAVID
The first 2 verses "had" me for a few days. A great starting point for my path. I sat and went nowhere.
To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul.
O my God, in you I trust.

The next curve in my path took me to an on-line devotional book. Songs of Jesus by Timothy Keller. I sat in my prayer chair. February 13 was location for Psalm 25:1-7. He emphasized David's convictions were "a man must live by the help of God, not by his wits." Keller's concluding prayer began, "Lord, I want to live according to your Word--"your ways, your truth"....

Obviously, somedays one can follow the path God has for them without ever standing up or leaving the house.

THE LORD---MY GUIDING SHEPHERD!

He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness. Think right paths!

That's GUIDANCE!

Seek the Lord's Guidance from His Word. Open your Bible.....

.....walk through a labyrinth to meditate on His Word.....

.....look up; focus on a cross.....

...... walk down an aisle to kneel at an altar with both your head and heart bowed!

"God also gives His sheep guidance ib the proper path of life, so that we do not wander aimlessly. He does so in part for the sake of His own reputation, as One who has promised to direct His people." (Thomas Constable)

He, our Shepherd and Spirit of Truth, guides into all Truth, from OT to NT. (Isaiah 30:21 & John 16:13)

WISDOM WALKS! WOW!

As one ages, walking is good medicine, whether one feels like it or not!
Walking can be a path to life with Him. Leaving one's mental checklist behind and focusing on His Presence!
Last week as Hubby and I walked in much stillness we saw the path anew. Blue skies emphasized the first of the mountain laurel blooms hanging over the creek!

The path itself  was filled with bunches of butterflies.

Blue-spotted purples, a hubby ID.  Tiger Swallowtails. One Monarch that would never land. Even they, seeking moisture and sweet nectar, seemed to dance as if they too could "taste and see" that God's provision is good!

WOW: PATH!

WOW = Warriors on the Wall for me.
This week it has meant Word of the Week as I can't get PATH out of my head!

Grandson, Owen has always had a way with words.
He dubbed my Master Gardener neighbor's rock pathway that ended at the fence, "path to nowhere." He asked her why she had such a path to nowhere? Not a bad question for a boy in pre-school.

In Deuteronomy 5:32, Moses, after presenting the Ten Commandments from the LORD to his people reminds them to be careful to do what the Lord has commanded them. Don't turn to the right or left. In other words stay on the straight and narrow path. In the next verse, Deuteronomy 5:33 CEB, Moses shares, "You must walk in the precise path which the Lord your God indicates for you. so that you will live, and things will go well for you...."
Have you ever wondered what the path God has for you today?
Unique for you. Specific for today.

Today ask God to clearly show you the path He has especially for you....
....even if it seems a bit rocky, trust Him.

Maybe He wants you to walk anew in His Presence today. (Psalm 16:11)
You won't know the right path, unless you ask Him. (Psalm 25:4)

Today my "path" answer was to "walk worthy of the gospel of Jesus Christ."

Won't you join me on that path?

PATHWAYS TO PEACE

Not only have I continued to ponder "path" options in life. I have realized that I am seeking peace.....in a nation that these days seem to be without peace. As a "type A" planner......am I seeking God's way or mine.
Journal jottings from this morning show the path that leads to me peace.
Its not my path but His for me---Imagine that!!!

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you aa the world gives. Do not let your heart be troubled and do not be afraid. (John 14:27)

Peace is an inner treasure that all my planning cannot accomplish.
For His path of peace in my life, I need to keep my focus on the One who is my peace.
(His) Presence = Promise and Protection....
His Promise and Protection = Peace!

PATH PONDERINGS

"Why does she have a path to nowhere?" grandson, Owen, asked years ago. He was looking at the rocky runoff at Master Gardner neighbor's yard.
Sometimes I feel like I'm looking at a path to nowhere. I can't seem to see beyond the rocky steps I'm encountering right in front of me. What's a gal to do? Look up? Look ahead? Maybe a little of each?

Where does one find the right path in life?

Certainly there are plenty of junctures. A wrong turn, just a few steps away can lead one into pitfalls of "self-pity and despair, or plateaus of pride" (Jesus Calling 10/15) or slippery slopes of self-reliance.
Proverbs 3:17 says, Her (wisdom) ways are pleasant and all her paths, peaceful.
Path pondering began yesterday and has continued to keep popping up today---looks like I might be on this path for awhile.

Dancing DANCING AGAIN

To all my prayer warriors & encouragers, I want you to know that I appreciate your prayers, love, wit, puns, Encouragement and concern! I am dancing again but this time it is at Baptist East Hospital ICU room 215! Once again the Lord has turned my mourning into dancing! I am just doing it while I am all wired up—figuratively & literally.
Next test will be at 4:30 PM central standard time.
🥰 & hugs to all! I hope you dance! It’s the life of abunDANCE. I know that for sure!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways  acknowledge Him and He will direct your path. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
And......if your name is Dotsy, you can dance all seasons of the year!
