Frail-TEA

A tea drinker in a coffee drinking world----that can prove problematic sometimes. Even inhospitable.
Irrational ailurophobia.
An "old lady" chosen to speak and teach.
Second guessing. Questioning.
These frailties continue to pop up. Robbing me of my joy of warm memories of a land and people who touched my heart.
Frail-TEAs----a cuppa served from the pit, if not used for His glory.

Praises for a BIG cuppa Turkish tea in my special "gift" from those who accepted me with all my frailties and loved me for who I am in Him. Served with remembering MP's quote made it all the sweeter. (Psalm 90:14)

My frailty is an act of worship when turned toward Him. (Michèle Phoenix)

TEA WITH THEE.....

3/6/12….in Psalm ninety. (nine-TEA) Nothing much better than a morning with the psalms and a cuppa---both tend to soothe the soul.

Psalm 90 is where I found myself as I am trying to “steep” myself in the Psalms this year. Reading through it the first time, the “tea” elements jumped off the page. There was much to “sip-on”---eterni-TEA, (v.1-2) frail-TEA, (v. 3) gravi-TEA (v.7-8 ) of our iniqui-TEAs, etc.  When I got to brevi-TEA, (v.10-22)I thought what a hard cuppa to swallow for those who don’t know the Lord. Perfect "cuppa" (v.17) is a believer's cup of tea.....favor of the Lord our God, resting upon us and establishing the work of our hands.

Tea with the Lord and my cuppa satisfied.  The simplici-TEA of it all---God’s unfailing love, as shown in His word, satisfies. (Psalm 90:14)

opportuniTEA

2/28/11

Listening to son Buddy’s, “Vaporous Valuable Time” sermon on Psalm 90 made me realize that I am desperately longing to drink deeply from a cuppa of opportuniTEA. An opportunity blended with time and sweetened with energy to minister to family and friends. Why the desperation? Meditation on that psalm coupled with recent events.

Psalm 90 is a prayer of Moses that emphasizes God’s eternity and man’s transitoriness. The psalm confronts several other "cuppas" that we are served as we age; frailTEA, we wither, fade & return to dust (v. 3-6) graviTEA, of our iniquities (v.8) and BreviTEA our days are limited (v. 10). That’s a lot to swallow but as we age those cuppas are ever before us. I want to make the most of my days, don’t you?

Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. (Psalm 90:12)
