R.I.P.

R.I.P. NO. It's not Rest in Peace.
It's a play on words for wanting to be ripped. As athletes in my small town seemed to always be exercising for football and other sports, they spoke "gym-lish" often. Gym-lish is English with an athletic reference, some of which I didn't even understand as it was locker-room talk according to my brothers.
Ripped was one I did understand They wore muscle shirts to display their biceps.
These days it's even a part of a Keto Gummies ad.
Even a 5 year old gets the idea.*

What about our well-developed prayer muscles? We need to keep "exercising" even when we are weary and prayer seems difficult. Spiritual exercise is needed!

The acronym I needed today!

You will be fully and reverently spiritually ripped if you R.I.P.  daily!

LORD'S PRAYER #3

Let your kingdom come. Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
(Matthew 6:10, New Heart English Bible)
Stacy Tyson has been giving such insight through his series on the Lord's Prayer. (thebesttimes.com e-version, May 2023, p.21) "God's kingdom is where truth defines reality and the lie has been rejected." Ponder that for awhile.
Part of the kingdom coming shows a connection of Hallowing His name and His will to be done. The first coming of Jesus brought that kingdom but we still pray this prayer today for God's continued reign in the hearts of His children. His kingdom to come, His will to be done begins with each one of us. Tyson refers to that as "first taking root in us."
Stacy also shares a quote from Dallas Willard that sums up the link between "kingdom come and will be done," as God's effective will where what he prefers is actually what happens."
"In short, when we pray these lines, we are asking that all things be arranged and in line with the with the good and wise purposes of Father God. (Ibid, p.21)

Prayer warrior, JoLynn, ends most all of her prayers of petition with "if it be your will, O Lord" or "according to your good and perfect will."
That's "Thy will be done" in a nutshell.

THE LORD'S PRAYER #2

Our Father which art in heaven.....HALLOWED BE THY NAME! That must be the KJV because those word's came to mind as I recited the Lord's Prayer. NET, which Stacy Tyson quotes, translates "Our Father in heaven, may your name be honored."(NET) Holy. (NLV) Sanctified (TLV)P. D. Tripp says this second part of Jesus' model prayer frames everything that prayer is about.....as it reveals how precious the hallowed grace of Jesus is. (New Morning Mercies, May 5)
Tyson also states "be honored" more literally translates in modern terms as, "Let your name be sanctified." (The Best Times, March 2023)
Sanctified?
Holy and unique. God worthy of reverential respect and awe as there is none like Him. (Psalm 86:8-9)
These days our prayers to our revered, glorified, worthy of praise Lord are the only Hope for the sanctity of our nation and the world.

SERVICES OF WORSHIP FOR QUEEN ELIZABETH II

From singing of phrases of scripture and the "Twenty Third Psalm" to family and attendees reciting together The Lord's Prayer, her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was laid to rest honoring the One True Majestic King, her Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. Truly services of WORSHIP!

"Love Divine All Love Excelling" at her funeral along with "All my Hope of God is Founded" at her committal service left no doubt of this stalwart's Christian's faith!
Though the Queen's piper played a lament, there was no lamenting.
There is rejoicing in heaven for one who knows the Triune God; the One who is the  Alpha and Omega with whom she will spend eternity!

TWENTY FIVE WORDS OR LESS (AGAIN)

Can she do it? If she counts words without characters she can.
Prayer = lens to life. More than right now ME prayers.
With. For. In you. Submission to Him.
Thy will be done. Right here. Right now!

CHOOSE: PRAYER

Prayer is always a perfect choice! Even when we feel as if we can't pray---"We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans." (Romans 8:26)

Anytime Prayers. (Psalm 55:17)
Arrow Prayers. Those quick ones shot straight to the Lord. (Psalm 4:1, HELP!)
Breath prayers. (Exhale....Jesus)
Evening prayers. ( of confession, Ezra 9:5)
Familiar prayers. (Matthew 6:9-13, Lord's Prayer)
Singing prayers. (Many Psalms are songs.)
Intercessory prayer. (Isaiah 62: 6-7, my Saturday prayer since 11/1995)
Long prayers. Short Prayers.
Mindful prayers. (1 Corinthians 14:15)
Morning prayers. (Psalm 5:3)
Prayer from Psalms (Psalm 17, a prayer of David)
Prayers from Scripture. (Ephesians 1:15-17 & Colossians 1:9-14)
Prayers of Petition. (James 1:5)
1 Thessalonians 5:17
Choosing to "pray from the heart" is always a good idea. Writing down those prayers isn't a bad idea either.

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.(1 Timothy 2:1-2)

Choose prayer with me or for me----I would certainly appreciate them.
