Popping out of house for a "prayer of praise" walk.
Seeing God's Hand
3/1/12 Praises for 3 days of "face time" with little Lucy Liles---her name for today---how special to be a part of eating, bathing and playing. I treasure every goo & coo I hear and every drool I see. How grateful for her parents who take time to share her when we're so far away!
2/29/12 "POP" walk, my acronym for Prayer Of Praise, like prayer in Daniel 2:19-23---I pop out the door for a quick "praise" walk, usually with praise songs on my iPod. Today iPod kept switching songs with almost every step, stopping only on my "forgiveness talk" and affirming my decision to put the link to it on my blog, even though it's so-o-o difficult to put "self" out in cyberspace for such scrutiny.
2/28/12 Phyllis Tickle speaking at the Calvary Lenten series and salad plate lunch at Calvary's "Waffle Shop"---to "taste and see" that both were good!
2/27/12 A day for praising while polishing silver---Mother would have been so proud!
2/26/12 Seeing Agnes's pic in GOM's prayer diary this morning---a blog reader from France whom I've never met & there she was!
2/25/12 A hubby who paints with me for 1 more Saturday and fixes supper to boot.
2/24/12 Timeframe that allowed me to give in to feeling "punky" by taking it easy and letting my "to do" list slide.
2/23/12 From "tea & tour" at the Brooks to lemon squares at the Community Foundation event, I was encouraged by friends from my past, many of whom were parents of kids I taught in kindergarten.
2/22/12 In car for picking up Owen and hearing national radio program (K-Love, 11:15 am) tell of Rad Andrews comment about his son David---that he and wife (Maureen) had always been firm believers that God doesn't make mistakes!
2/21/12 God's timing allowing me to see David Andrew's segment on TV---I had missed all the email prompts....but God.
2/20/12 But God----it is that conjunctive phrase which connects God to all that happens in my life.
2/19/12 Birding with Owen---What an adventure to see the world through the eyes of a 4 year old boy.
2/18/12 Hubby willing to use the $$ Benjamin Moore paint on the inside of my closets because I wanted them to be clean and "match"---along with availability of 800mg Advil for my "aching," but happy body.
2/17/12 Time last night for "catching up" with the HHS "Dining Divas"---so much to be learned from other women, who are where I once was---employed. Plus birding with Larry & others---what a "hoot" for me!
2/16/12 Encouragement from blog readers (just to know there still are some), AR's Wanda affirms "Holy, Holy, Holy" on page 1 in Baptist hymnal & raised in AR, Margie, recalls singing it during her Episcopalian junior choir days in Helena. GO, Arkansas gals! So, where are the Methodist? Plus, today's "Jesus Calling" entry affirmed my "retreat" decision and JoLynn's e-mail was that very same confirmation!!
2/15/12 Wynellen's offer of sanctuary, hubby's approval, Beth's "to go" tea pouch, and God's Presence. GLORIOUS!
2/14/12 Encouraging e-mail from Charlotte, coupled with her Dove chocolate hearts----a great way to start my day.
2/13/12 Affirmations galore as I "retreat."
2/12/12 God's continuing Presence---may I be still and know that He is God... holy, powerful and sovereign.
2/11/12 A hubby who indulged his "frugal" wife and agreed to help her paint woodwork. (On a Saturday, no less---& Golf Channel always has a tourney) Oh my---we'll have to sit on back row in church tomorrow because I even leaned into it. Plus, with it on every doorknob , I'm sure our white hands will remain white. At least we're still speaking---except basically we're too tried to talk.
2/10/12 2 ½ delightful hours with Owen as he joined me in passing on blessings/gifts. It was our mission for the day. Mission accomplished!
2/9/12 Crickett's theology lesson via Ma Bell---always helpful (even with Hebrew lexicon) and never demeaning as I continue to search out scriptural truth.
2/8/12 Songs of "deliverance" swirling in my head---a juxtaposition of my frailty and His strength! PRAISES, He's winning! Plus, Carol Newman came up to me tonight singing, "Sing, Sing a Song" and offering encouragement----she's really good at that!
2/7/12 E-mails ! E-mails!! E-mails!!! Encouragement! Encouragement!! Encouragement!!! Going out but mostly coming in!
2/6/12 Morning prayers with folks who care about the world and even little old me, knitted hat encounter with scripture tags tucked in around Claudia's "shaved" head, BSF hugs & Cathy C's smile.
2/5/12 Communion, sitting with Maureen A, a hubby who knows his way around the kitchen and can whip up cheese dip in an instant, laughter with friends when I'm sulking on the inside.
2/4/12 Sitting under daughter's, "Good Golly Mamarazzi" photography workshop---what a creative, thorough and patient teacher she is. She made me proud!
2/3/12 Warmer than usual water in the pool and yesterday's "on my face" answered prayer.
2/2/12 Misty morning fog--honking geese overhead---two days of rain on newly planted" memory" tree. God's hand in creation---may I look for it each day.
2/1/12 Friend's (Jane M) escort to car--ours only two in dark lot--gave time to catch up & share our affinity for BBC.
1/31/12 Katherine's invitation to see "The Artist"---a silent film in which words would be superfluous, even the few captions are "spot on" (or whatever the French word for that would be) a visual feast of facial nuances, along with a dog who many say, "steals the show." This work of creative genius is showing at the Ridgeway 4, my neighborhood theatre, with greatly improved seating upgrades, much needed for all of us "senior" matinee go-ers.
A great treatise on prayer and the video makes me "puddle" everytime I see it.

Prayer Requests
Please pray that anesthesiologist will be back from maternity leave for 6th surgery.
Please pray for diminished pain & that the anesthesia for 3rd surgery will not cause nausea or vomiting.
Please pray that the Lord will heal my mother so the surgery won't have to be so invasive. What an answer to that---God was so gracious .
Please pray for Dotsy's surgical team as they assist The Great Physician. They were the best---each coming by to visit Mom before the surgeries, calling, checking with us all the time.
Please pray for peace that passes understanding throughout the healing process. It was certainly there during the first two surgeries thanks to the fervent prayers of many. Not over yet so keep on keeping on, please!
