- 5/25/12 "Supping and chatting" with friends until the "wee" hours. "Wee hours" for Medicare folks is anytime after 10 pm.
- 5/24/12 ANSWERED PRAYERS: Travel mercies home from Texas, specs found by Day amidst the plum tree "droppings", & time with Tom and Dixie.
- 5/23/12 Larry's willingness to continue to hunt for my glasses without "I told you so" on his lips.
- 5/22/12 BUSY kids schedule without a hitch---and time for some "just for fun" stuff as well.
- 5/21/12 Morning chores with "little" helpers---the privilege of ordinary events with the grands.
- 5/20/12 Blogging "encouragement" from Holly T. , a 3+ year blog reader from Allen, TX.
- 5/19/12 Being in Texas for John Parker's birthday celebration! Out of town grandparents can miss lots of events so this is special!
- 5/18/12 Time for an a.m. walk with an "almost" 4 yr. old and an 18 mo. old coupled with p.m. time on breezy covered patio for 'in and out" burgers for Pop-Pop's work crew.
- 5/17/12 Clear skies for traveling.
- 5/16/12 A schedule so full that God continually had to redeem the time for relationships---what a job He did!
- 5/15/12 Privilege of praying Psalms for others---
- 5/14/12 Relevant scripture for prayer and meditation.
- 5/13/12 Cards, phone calls and visits from MY kids along with the perfect "group" gift----flowers each month for a year!!! Yea---I love it!
- 5/12/12 God's beauty and majesty in creation in the midst of a spring rain
- 5/11/12 Ability to laugh at the racoon who continually outsmarts us and the squirrel who baffles us instead of us baffling him. Normally, I want to "be done with" them!
- 5/10/12 More protection---this morning the den door was not only unlocked, but open. I had left it cracked open to air out paint smell. Then, I forgot. But God....must have had angels encamped around me to keep me safe & the racoon out.
- 5/9/12 Hummingbird buzzing around my head as I filled his feeder at 6 am---he misses hubby too. Feeling "crushed" by the crushed shell of a baby bird on patio step---birthday friend, Doris, would feel the same way.
- 5/8/12 Safety---as I found the spare key dangling in the back door when I went out to get the morning paper.
- 5/7/12 Affirmation of importance of meditation---email from France, JoLynn & Betty both choosing same passage for consideration, etc.
- 5/6/12 Great Sunday lunch with "new to me" folks. How special to sit on the Walker's wraparound porch and feel so comfortable sharing the Lord in our conversation.
- 5/5/12 Sharing yummy dinner served with fun and fellowship (the Greek way) with longtime friends. Memories were "flying" throughout the night!
- 5/4/12 Sharing early morning with Lucy on FaceTime .
- 5/3/12 God glimpses: His creation through the color and cacophany of the morning birds; His provision of ingredients already set out to make banana nut bread when I read the obit of my 90 yr. old, back fence neighbor, David Grushkin; His direction of my eyes to glance at my watch just in the nick of time for Owen's pick-up.
- 5/2/12 Dancing with hubby as Joshua sang tonight on American Idol. Of course we did. He was singing "our" song!
- 5/1/12 Rich, extended prayer time for friends and family. Answered prayer---God's best job for Randy K. and blessing of birth of baby Grace.
- 4/30/12 Cool morning for breakfast on the patio with hubby. Together we saw the first hummingbird of the season. So grateful to be retired!
- 4/29/12 Gorgeous indigo bunting. A first for 1152. Time for reading on a breezy patio.
- 4/28/12 HAPPY "Medicare" BIRTHDAY, Hubby. You certainly wear your age-earned title well.
- 4/27/12 GLORY BUMPS! ANSWERED PRAYERS----lots of them. Plus slug mail treats from 3 states----cards, newsy letters & a brown leather necklace that has eluded me for several years .
- 4/26/12 Travel mercies for Buddy and Charlotte, 2 Face Times with Lucy---what fun to watch her all smiles in the am and eating asparaguse in the pm. YUM!
- 4/25/12 God's way of redeeming my time when I I have had the privilege of extra time in His presence!

Praises!!! I was able to dance at Halle and Kyle's wedding.
Prayer Requests
- Please pray that anesthesiologist will be back from maternity leave for 6th surgery.
- Please pray for diminished pain & that the anesthesia for 3rd surgery will not cause nausea or vomiting.
- Please pray that the Lord will heal my mother so the surgery won't have to be so invasive. What an answer to that---God was so gracious .
- Please pray for Dotsy's surgical team as they assist The Great Physician.They were the best---each coming by to visit Mom before the surgeries, calling, checking with us all the time.
- Please pray for peace that passes understanding throughout the healing process.It was certainly there during the first two surgeries thanks to the fervent prayers of many. Not over yet so keep on keeping on, please!
