R AND R

R & R!
R & R!
R&R!
Ever need a little R & R?
The letters are the same but what they represent can be so-o-o different.
What comes to your mind?
Most folks think of rest for the first R......followed by recreation, relaxation or recuperation.
  • Doctor RX--Rest and Recoup
  • Late night study--Ritalin and Redbull
  • Psychology--Reflect and Re-evaluate
  • Authors--Revise and Resubmit
  • Carpenter Corey--Remove and Replace
Rest, as in stoppage, came to my mind
R and R!
Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him. Psalm 62:1
R and R!Jeremiah 31:25
“For I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish.”
1 Corinthians 16:18 For they refreshed my spirit as well as yours. Give recognition to such men.
2 Timothy 1:16 May the Lord grant mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my chains.
Exodus 31:17
“‘It is a sign forever between me and the people of Israel that in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.’”
.
Ever need a little spiritual R & R?
R + R = Rescue and Redemption
Rest in that truth!

A PICTURE OF 14 WORTHY WORDS!

WORDS COUNT!
Every word of scripture counts!
For I will satisfy the weary soul,
and every languishing soul I will replenish.
(Jeremiah 31:25)

These 14 words of scripture "count" for every languishing soul for whom I have prayed in the last 4 weeks.
Those words of Jeremiah say it all!

FIRST-TIMERS DAY 2!

Anxiety in a new place can wear one out.
Grandmother's Praying System still at work.
Melody's quilt and a soft baby triceratops help. Familiar and favorite.
God refreshes the weary and satisfies the faint. (Jeremiah 31:25)
The Lord gives to his beloved even in their sleep. (Psalm 127:2)

The pause that refreshes

4/12/10
Nothing refreshes like…….
………………make your own list or read mine.
A. an ice cold coke
B. a cup of tea
C. warm bath
D. spring rain
E. all of the above

All of these seem to have an uplifting effect on the human spirit. Of course, on second thought, the most spiritual answer would be Jesus. We too often seek His refreshment as a second thought or after the fact---after all else (our actions) fail.

Today, take a pause that refreshes the soul---drink from the fountain of living water.

Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your body And to your bones. (Proverbs 3:7-8)

For I satisfy the weary ones and refresh everyone who languishes. (Jeremiah 31:25)

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, (Acts 3:19)

Imbibe early for refreshment throughout your day.
