NATIONAL ADOPTION DAY

National Adoption Day.
A day to celebrate.
That is so true for our family.
Book was one of "his" first words.
When he would "empty" his bookshelf, we called him our circulation librarian.
Nowadays his books are everywhere. He chooses the ones he wants to read or for you to read to him.
Books at bedtime are essential and sometimes he wants to help the experience! Now you can enjoy that experience. I bet it will make you smile.

WHAT A QUIVER!

Celebrating birthdays of two of our grandchildren this week reminded me of the verses from Psalm 127:3a & 5a, Behold, children are a gift of the LORD,....How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. In our family all of our children have suffered loss in childbearing and yet the Lord has continued to bless them in unexpected ways with more "arrows" for their quiver.

Bitty Baby = BIG BLESSING!!

The good news we hoped for was "exceedingly abundantly above all we could ask or even imagine!"(Ephesians 3:20)
We came. We saw. We fell in love.....with all 4 pounds of him.

"...To Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever, A-men." (Ephesians 3:21)

TEXAS GENTLEMEN are TEXAS SPORTSMEN

Saturday sports from baseball and soccer fields to the lake.
John Parker gets a "coach-pitch" hit---glad Daddy was his coach.
Noah assists and scores for the Cajuns.
Caleb shares his PopPop's catcher position as well as number---13.
Nathan's small-mouth catch.
Sunday morning churchbound---
Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them. (Deuteronomy 4:9) A-men!
Praises---these godly young men, aka Texas gentlemen, are being carefully taught.

UNRECOGNIZABLE

11/1/13 Unrecognizable.....at least to most folks. When the masks are on, people don't knew what really lies underneath. Masks can make one feel safe.
Only when the masks are removed can the "real" person be seen. So why is it so hard sometimes to take off the masks, especially in Christian circles. Inferiority. Shame. Fear.
Yet to those who truly know and accept them, warts and all, the person underneath those layers is visible and loved, regardless. Masked or unmasked.
God loves all His children in that way, even when our potential for goodness is unrecognizable by others. Masked or unmasked---just loved.
5 little (& not so little) Texans, recognized and loved by this grandmother.
