Two days ago was such a day for me. Was that a "bad" thing for me to do? I certainly berated myself for each nap I needed.
Even though I was beyond being physically pooped, I certainly wore the guilt robe throughout the day!
But God in his love and mercy has us reading from the Allen Bible Church reading plan each night.
That night, April 30, had us reading from 1 Samuel 16!
When we got to verse 7, I knew I had been exonerated. Staying in one's "PJs" is not a crime. In spiritual terms, I could forgive myself because God does not look at one's outward appearance but at one's heart.
Hallelujah!
You may find a lot of babble that is from me, Carolyn. My electrician, Mr. t came & fixed the final switch on the switchboard( long story🤷🏻♀️.
ReplyDeleteI have been freezing with my Bubbles cuddles close since last week when I came home after the flood15” went down & was dried out by the restoration company that has helped all30 condos in the Harrods Landing Marina where I live. Yes , it has been 2 1/2 yrs. Since Harry passed. Am not happy but certainly was for the nearly 15 years I knew him. The last month was difficult. I had written quite a bit to catch I up , then Mr. T arrived to fix the heat. Next trip he will attach the dishwasher to the cabinet & move a tv from where we had it in Harry’s man cave. He really had made a nice room for his entertaining family & friends who appreciated his talents. Am so glad to have heat. Bubbles & I were swaddled together to sleep when I would get home. All Derby Day I stayed under the covers & watched our big tv. Quite happy to be mostly retired except Mon. & Fri. I walk about 7 miles each day getting folks where they need to be for their test, apts, etc. I start in the l& D area ( that is my “post”). This hosp. Burt’s 500 babies a month. The most of any other hosp. In The state of Ky. Since my last 20 yrs. I worked in x-Ray doing a lot of surg. I know the rabbit holes of this hosp. I just walk & talk to folks so I am insanely happy most of the time. I weigh about 115 all the time! When I was a teen I spent so much time at Grandmother’s & you may remember she had her own backers & florist going on right from her home on 18 th street!
Course I went to church at the Church of Christ with her after mother died. Years later as time has flown I have sung in many churches , the Bach Society, In The chorus for the Louisville opera & more than 23 yrs in the Episcopal Church in Frankfort. I learned soo much from the beautiful prayers & written lithergys I continued in Episcopal though have always follow music in others. My son, Roger can play bout anything with a trumpet. So I always go to his concerts. Yes, I have enjoyed the amount of talent My mother left with Ronnie & our families. Ronnie’s son Jon has been all around the world “literally”! With jazz & others,. We are all scattered around Ky, & Tenn. in our immediate family & do not get to see each other lately as much. Ronnie still goes to Nash illegal from Paducah a lot but I do not feel comfortable driving a distance by myself. I am getting forgetful too at times. Have been tested but the spec. Sain it if not Dementia now it somthhing else. Grieving, we know. So until I need more testing I am cruising along around here.
You still awake? Hope this wasn’t too much. So appreciate hearing from you.
Glad to hear what u r reading! Our ministers 6 of them are what I call a deep bench!
Live the kneeling & praying for one another! I do a lot of scripture Al readings for services, challis & greeting. Do not sing in choir gear cause I have wanted the Bible study classes. God has been a huge part of my life. Actually always was because that was what we did . But I have enjoyed many others Methodist esp. as they have those huge pipes & choruses I have “loved “ since I remember crying while standing on a back bench at 4 yrs old with mother at a Christian Church packed service in Hoptown. Mother asked me why was I crying! I was too little to be able to explain how very much I loved that entire atmosphere choir, organ , singing it All🫠🙏🏻❤️🙋🏻♀️
